Athens (3 nights) plus 4-Day Cruise to: Mykonos-Ephesus-Patmos-Rhodes-Heraklion-Santorini In just one week, you can pack in seven different destinations, and still manage to do it in a relaxing and civilized way! With Athens at the beginning and end, and with a wonderful 4-day cruise in the middle, this adventure still allows you to add an island destination after the cruise, assuming that you have a few more nights to spare. If you do, then you can choose a new island, and just about any one is possible, or you can return to Mykonos or Santorini for a longer, in-depth look, and a chance to soak up the sun on their magnificent beaches! Day 1: Athens City Arrival at Athens International Airport. Meet our representative and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day at leisure. We suggest you visit the Old Part of town, Plaka, and eat at the Traditional "tavernas." Overnight. Day 2: Athens City After breakfast, depart for your sightseeing tour of Athens. Visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Syntagma Square, the Royal Palace, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, The Thesseum, The Greek Orthodox Cathedral, the Flea Market of Monastiraki, The Academy and, last but not least, the Acropolis and its Museum. Return to your hotel. Overnight. Day 3: Athens City, Piraeus Port, Mykonos Island After breakfast, meet our representative and transfer to the port of Piraeus to embark the vessel for your 4-Day Island Cruise. The first port-of-call is the Island of Mykonos , with its rustic windmills, churches, whitewashed houses, beautiful beaches and the cosmopolitan nightlife, which have made this Cycladic Island the island of choice of the world's jet set.
Day 4: Patmos Island Early arrival into Kusadasi, the most popular Turkish port and gateway to the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the most well preserved ancient cities. In the afternoon, you will call at the Island of Patmos. Here you may visit the Monastery of St. John, where the Book of Revelation was written. Day 5: Rhodes Island Today you will have an early arrival to the Island of Roses, Rhodes. You have a full day to explore the old city and the Medieval Castle of the crusading Knights of St. John, or take an optional tour. Do not miss a stroll through the famous Street of Knights, where you will be transported back in time to the Medieval Ages.
Day 6: Heraklion Prefecture , Santorini Island In the morning, your vessel will call at Heraklion, Crete. You may take an optional tour to the Minoan Palace of Knossos, where, in its Labyrinth, it is said that the legendary Minotaurus used to live, and to the Heraklion Museum. The next destination is the Island of Santorini, christened the most romantic island of the world.
Day 7: Athens City Early arrival at the port of Piraeus. After disembarkation, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy your free day in Athens. Shop in the fashionable shops of the elite district of Kolonaki, or simply enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee in the various local coffee shops.
